B gave the green light today to have my beautiful steam machine front-loaders delivered as soon as we pass the electrical and plumbing inspection scheduled for tomorrow. Can I get a great big "WOOT"?! After more than six weeks without laundry, over a dozen loads done at friends' or neighbor's or mom's house, and one trip to the laundromat with the girls which I swore I would NOT repeat...I will finally be able to wash our clothes in my own home again. Never thought I'd be so excited to do laundry! Maybe there will be life after this project, afterall.

hi! woot woot! congrats! =) i've been thinking of you !--it shouldn't be long now! it will be SO GREAT!
WOOT!!! And another WOOT! Laundry partay at Jen's house! Nice washer, BTW. So happy for you. Progess...it is a comin'.
I hear ya, I did thirteen loads at the laundrymat with 4 kids...Even ordered pizza, thought everything was going fine...until...thirteen loads were done drying at the same time and had to get folded and out of the machines before people started taking them out and throwing them on the floor. Can't wait to do laundry at home again...Race You?!
Another funny tidbit...last night I was melting butter in the microwave for our corn mush when the micro began to spark and smoke! That makes three appliances that have given up the fight--the only one left is the fridge! It's almost like it was time for a new kitchen or something!
LadyD--12 loads at the laundromat--are you serious? Do what I did and tell your kids to just wear their clothes until they're filthy. Won't kill 'em. Just make sure you emphasize that they still need to change their grundies every day...one of mine (who shall remain nameless) must have missed that part of my instructions and informed me the other day that the same pair of underwear had been used for two weeks.
Seriously, this is the stuff of memories, isn't it?
Bah!!!Ha!!!Ha!!! Jen, your last comment should have been a blog on its own. OMS. I'm going to bed with that fine literary morsel in my mind and heart. THANK. YOU.
p.s. Gross.
p.p.s. I seriously can't stop laughing.
2 weeks?!
Didn't they take a bath during this time? They put on dirty undies after their bath? Wha???
Yes, $48.00 worth of laundry. Dylan had lice so I had a lot of bedding and stuffed animals too:)
Who wouldn't want to live in that kids hair~
